What you are certifying
When you submit a contribution, you certify that all of the following are true:
- You are a United States citizen or a lawfully admitted permanent resident. Contributions from foreign nationals are prohibited by federal law and by Nevada law.
- This contribution is made from your own funds, not from funds provided to you by another person or entity for the purpose of making this contribution.
- The contribution is made on a personal or corporate card in your own name, or on a card belonging to the entity making the contribution, and is not charged to another person's account.
- You are not a federal contractor making a contribution in that capacity.
- You are at least 18 years of age, or the contribution is otherwise lawful.
- The information you provide is accurate and complete, including your full name and mailing address.

Contribution limits
Nevada law limits contributions to a candidate for county office to $5,000 per election. The primary election and the general election are treated as separate elections, each with its own $5,000 limit.
The 2026 primary election was held June 9, 2026. Contributions made now count toward the general election limit for the election on November 3, 2026.

Who may contribute in Nevada. Unlike federal law, Nevada law permits contributions from corporations, limited-liability companies, partnerships, labor unions, and political action committees, as well as from individuals. The same $5,000 per-election limit applies to each contributor.

Contributions are not tax deductible
Contributions to a Nevada state or local candidate are not deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes. This committee is a political campaign committee, not a charitable organization, and contributions are not gifts to a charity.
Your information and the public record
Nevada law requires this committee to report contributions to the Nevada Secretary of State. Contributions that exceed $100 — either as a single contribution, or as several contributions from the same contributor that add up to more than $100 during a reporting period — must be itemized by contributor name and address in a public filing.
That is why the payment page asks for your full name and mailing address on every contribution, including small ones. A series of small gifts can cross the $100 threshold.

Anonymous contributions cannot be accepted
Nevada law does not permit this committee to keep an anonymous or otherwise unidentifiable contribution of $100 or more. Any such contribution must be delivered to the State Treasurer or donated to a nonprofit within a set period. For that reason, every contribution must include the contributor's name.

How payments are processed
Contributions are processed by Stripe, a third-party payment processor. Card details are entered on a secure page hosted by Stripe and are never transmitted to or stored on this website. Stripe's handling of your information is governed by Stripe's privacy policy.
Your card or bank statement will show Friends of Duane Meyer. Contributions are deposited into the committee's dedicated campaign account, as required by Nevada law.

Refunds and corrections
If you contributed in error, exceeded the legal limit, or need a contribution refunded for any reason, contact the campaign and it will be refunded. The committee also reserves the right to refund or return any contribution that it determines does not comply with applicable law.
